Clearly refined by his dam’s Thoroughbred sire Heraldik xx, the gorgeous, patent leather black Black Jack placed in CSI3* level competitions in 2014 under the world class rider, Jerry Smit/ITA, after he had qualified twice for the Bundeschampionat and already got first places in the international Youngster Tour as a seven-year old.

His sire Cornet Obolensky, European Championship team gold winner under Marco Kutscher, quickly earned the title of a trademark stallion in modern-day jumper breeding. More than 70 licensed sons and around 30State Premium mares are on record. His dam Helanka also has another licensed son named Caraldik. The dam’s sire Heraldik xx, a Thoroughbred stallion who successfully competed in international show jumping competitions up to advanced (S) level, has led the list of the world’s best event horse sires for many years. Some of the best advertisements for the performance capacity he passes on are the Olympic Game winners, Butts Abraxxas and Butts Leon, as well as the internationally successful Happy Times, Tabasco and FBW Halunke. Heraldik xx is found on the dam’s side in the pedigree of the Olympic winner, World and European Champion, La Biosthetique Sam FBW. In the third generation you find the internationally successful Oldenburg Grando, a son of the extraordinary stallion Grannus, who also shows up as the dam’s sire in the pedigrees of many outstanding show jumpers (e.g. For Pleasure, Sandro Boy, The Sixth Sense, Special Ed).

Highly refined himself, the charming Black Jack not only passes on his good looks but also his ability to jump, his quality movements and rideability. His first crop produced a stallion named Black Rock H, who finished his70-day test in Marbach with a final score of 8.49 in the jumping index, making him the 2nd Reserve Champion. He then proceeded to win tests for young show jumpers and event horses. A son named Ben-Hardy won the Austrian Free Jumping Championships in Stadl-Paura. In Switzerland, a filly named Bojana from the same line as the international show jumper Souvenir/Philipp Weishaupt qualified for the National Foal Championships.
