“You get shivers down your spine when you watch him”, commented Joachim Geilfuß in the name of the jury on the faultless rounds of Con Chello and Philipp Weishaupt at the 2010 Bundeschampionat in the class for five-year old show jumpers in Warendorf. The title was undisputedly theirs with a 9.5 and a 9.8 . Con Chello also won the qualifier due to his ideal technique and exemplary suppleness with a 9.2 and 9.5. After having won a series of tests for young show jumpers up to medium (M*) level before, this was not surprising. In 2008 Con Chello was the best jumper stallion at the saddle licensing in Marbach.

His sire Chello I, a son of the Holstein stallion of the century, Contender, made his debut in breeding with the Holstein Verband before he was sent to Baden-Württemberg where he was later sold to the US. Three licensed sons are on record. His dam, Come Now, successfully competed in nearly 140 show jumping tests up to medium (M) level before giving birth to two advanced (S) level show jumpers, Latania Z (by Latus I) and Charivari KG (by Condillo), as well as others who won free jumping competitions. The dam’s sire, Come One, placed with Ludger Beerbaum and Ralf Schneider in the German Masters, the Grand Prix of Göteborg/SWE, the Derby of Hickstead/GBR and the Hamburg Show Jumping Derby and as of 1997 with her Royal Highness, Pricess Haya from Jordania, e.g. at the CHIO Aachen. The most outstanding of his eight licensed sons is Comic FRH, winner of the Nürnberg Burg Pokal. Granddam Ricarda produced a medium (M) level show jumper named Micado (by Mephisto) Through the Holstein stallion Ricardo, sire of the Vice European Champion and German Champion in eventing, Brilliante/Inken von Platen Hallermund, who is found the third generation of Con Chello’s pedigree, the line goes back to Ramzes AA.

Con Chello‘s foals catch your eye because of their type, movement quality, character and powerful canter. All of the foals from his first crops were snatched right up by buyers.
