All Olympic show jumpers and their riders with a connection to Ludger Beerbaum
Since the nomination of the German show jumping team for the Olympic Games in Paris, experts in the equestrian scene have been talking about a constellation that has never been seen before - and which will probably remain unique. The composition of the seeded riders alone - Christian Kukuk, Philipp Weishaupt and Richard Vogel - fills the staff at the Beerbaum Stables in Riesenbeck with great joy. Weishaupt has been working for Ludger Beerbaum since 2003, Christian Kukuk has been at the stables since 2012.

The ninth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League took the riders and their horses to the historic Olympic Stadium in Stockholm. A frenetically cheering crowd awaited them there, which only welcomed their home team in the Global Champions League, the Stockholm Hearts, with slightly more applause than their competitors. In three weeks' time, the organizers of the only stage in Germany, in Riesenbeck, Westphalia, hope to welcome equally enthusiastic fans.

Christian und Just be Gentle verpassen knapp den Sieg
Nachdem es im Nationenpreis am Freitag nicht gut für das deutsche Team gelaufen ist, schloss Christian das Wochenende mit einem guten Ergebnis am Sonntag ab. Im Großen Preis von Rotterdam über 1.60m mit Stechen ritt er die 10-jährige Stute Just be Gentle. Nach einer makellosen Runde im Umlauf trat er mit 14 weiteren Paaren im Stechen an. Nach einer weiteren Nullrunde wurde es dann ein toller zweiter Platz. Nachdem es für das Team Riesenbeck International am Freitag in Paris nicht optimal, wie wir bereits berichteten.

The riders from Riesenbeck have big plans for the two most important international tournaments of the weekend: The two aspirants for the Summer Olympics in Paris, Christian Kukuk with Checker and Philipp Weishaupt with Zineday, competed for Germany in the Nations Cup in Rotterdam on Friday afternoon. At the same time, their colleagues - U25 rider Harry Allen, Philipp Schulze Topphoff and Eoin McMahon - were competing for Team Riesenbeck International in the eighth leg of the Global Champions League in Paris to make up points in the overall standings.
