This white stallion shyed neither from water nor the bank of the famous Hamburg Derby. Twice he was able to win it, and until this day his tendons look perfectly healthy. He is almost ready to compete again, which is what he always enjoyed most.

Classic Touch and Ludger delivered the only clear round of the final day in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and won individual gold.

Ludger could have probably won many more trophies with this top mare, but the contract stated that he had to give the mare back to the owner after the '92 Olympics. Classic Touch went to several different stables after that. Once she was retired it was Ludger's heartfelt wish to offer her a place for retirement in his stable in Riesenbeck.
Classic Touch passed away in 2008.

However, Ratina gave her riders quite a hard time in the beginning. She came to Ludger as an Olympic silver medalist but the two still had to find each other. Once they did, it it began a series of outstanding accomplishments. Ratina turned Ludger into what he is today. The two fought and won together like few others did. They were a team that stands in line with Milton/John Whitaker, Shutterfly/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, and Baloubet du Rouet/Rodrigo Pessoa. Ratina Z passed away in 2010.

Mit ihr hat er gekämpft und gesiegt, beide waren ein Team, das in einer Reihe steht mit Milton/John Whitaker, Shutterfly/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Baloubet du Rouet/Rodrigo Pessoa.

Classic Touch und Ludger Beerbaum lieferten bei den Olympischen Spielen 1992 in Barcelona am Finaltag die einzige Nullfehlerrunde und wurden Olympiasieger. Mit Classic Touch hätte Ludger noch viele weitere Erfolge feiern können, doch – Vertrag ist Vertrag – er gab sie anschließend an ihren Besitzer ab. Nachdem die Stute durch mehrere Hände gegangen war, lag es Ludger Beerbaum sehr am Herzen, ihr in Riesenbeck einen würdigen Lebensabend zu bereiten. Classic Touch ist 2008 gestorben.

Gladdys, die Diva. Die Aachener Soers betrat sie stets mit dem Hinterteil voraus, sie scheute und guckte, wenn es blinkte oder irgendwo eine Kamera blitzte. Charakterlich eher schwierig, doch mit außergewöhnlichem Vermögen ausgestattet. Eine Superstute!
