Stallions in training at Riesenbeck International
Stallion presentation at the international horse show

Which stallion suits my mare? This is the question that drives horse breeders year after year. On Sunday, March 27, help will be available at the Riesenbeck International equestrian center!
As part of the International Show Jumping Tournament CSI**, the Beerbaum stallion station will be showing "Stallions in Training" at the moderated presentation starting at 11:30 am. Ludger Beerbaum's team will not present the sires in the form of a classic stallion show, but will give all interested breeders and horse lovers an insight into their daily training. Particularly helpful for breeders are the first-hand comments and explanations that illustrate the importance of sporting performance and describe the demands placed on top athletes in the show jumping ring.
A total of 19 sires are available to breeders at the Beerbaum Stables breeding station. Some of them will be presented to the audience: Aberdeen Z, Chubakko, Comme le pere, Coros, Cortez FZ, Emeron, Zinedine will be shown in hand. Also some promising foals.
A highlight of the show is the world's best six-year-old jumping stallion Coros (Cornet Obolensky x Arpeggio). The seven-year-old beautiful athlete came under the saddle of Philipp Weishaupt in 2021, recorded his first international placings in Chantilly/FRA and Lier/BEL, secured silver - narrowly beaten - at the Bundeschampionat and won the gold medal at the World Championships for six-year-old show jumpers in Lanaken with dream rounds. What makes him so popular with breeders: He is absolutely impressive in his jumping ability, has a perfect bascule, lightning-fast reflexes and demonstrates terrific sovereignty.
Ten-year-old Mumbai (Diamant de Semilly x Nabab de Reve) received his knighthood again this week. He has been included in the Olympic squad with his rider Christian Kukuk. "You will hear a lot from this stallion" Ludger Beerbaum is sure! Mumbai, who is endowed with boundless jumping ability, made his international debut as a seven-year-old with spectacular performances in Youngtser jumping competitions. Convinced of his qualities, Christian Kukuk entered the stallion in Grand Prix for the first time in 2020. Wins in the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck and Riyadh followed, as well as a top placing in the Grand Prix of Aachen. In 2021, both were runners-up in the European Team Championships and placed fourth in the individual classification at the home European Championships in Riesenbeck. And both will also compete in the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck after the presentation!
Before the somewhat different stallion show, spectators will have the opportunity to watch the final in the Fundis Youngster Cup, directly followed by the highlight of the show weekend - the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck - where international riding stars will be competing.
Heated spectator area - Seats are available in limited numbers - The then current rules of the CoronaSCHVO NRW apply.
Tickets for Sunday cost 10,-- Euro
